Keru Naan - The House of Prayer

The second team from our church arrived in Mbour in March of 2007. This team, five men, had the assignment of finding and furnishing a house to work from. God provided an absolutely perfect house. It has five bedrooms, a large living room, seperate kitchen and indoor and outdoor showers. Best of all, it has a wonderfully large courtyard for ministry. We have named the house "Keru Naan" which means "house of prayer." This picture is taken on the roof of the house.

Furniture shopping in Mbour is a bit different than at the Room Store!

"I will go before you....Isaiah 45:2

So much has happend since the first trip in November, 2006. Woven into the fabric of all that has transpired is this undeniable truth...He has gone before us! Our first day in the village of Yoff proved that. We found a wall with "Texas City" painted on it...Texas City is a town just down the road from us here in Seabrook!

Many have gone before us. Cal, Patty, David and Cheryl have been serving the Lebou for years, along with many others. Because of thier ongiong work, we were able to discern God's will for us;
To work in the village of Mbour!

In the Beginning....

In November 2006 a small church in Seabrook, Texas decided to join God where He is working. This blog is a chronicle of His activities among the Lebou of Senegal.
